As more people spend time at home and players continue to practise social distancing and self isolation, steam has hit another concurrent user record, again.
SteamDB has recorded over 22,678,529 users online at the same time on Sunday 22nd March 2020 at 14:50 CET.
Steam’s active user trend began in January when the Chinese began to self-isolate at the start of the COVID-19 crisis. On February 2nd, Steam’s past milestone of 18,537,490 users, set in January 2018, was surpassed. Doing so Steam broke the existing record by an impressive 300,000 to peak at 18,801,944 players. The record has been broken several times since, also including last weekend which saw numbers achieve 20 million for the first time ever.
